Why does everyone hate me? I ask myself this everyday. I am the most unnoticed character in the damn show. When Tča or whoever (I mention Tča because she never shuts up about friendship!) is talking about their friends, I am always mentioned last, well, that’s when I am actually mentioned! Usually it’s Yugi, Tristan, Joey and Tča. Never Bakura! Okay, speaking of Yugi, just because the show is called Yu-Gi-Oh, does not mean he rules the damn world! I mean, come one, does he think he’s the only with a Yami? Yami Yugi is weak compared to my Yami! All Yami Yugi does is play Duel Monsters and threaten Seto Kaiba. Well, that’s a talent, isn’t it? I mean, there’s nothing wrong with duelling, but when that’s pretty much all ya do, there is a slight problem there. And oh my god, his hair! But no one’s hair is as bad is Tristan’s! You could balance heavy weights on it and it wouldn’t even dent! Was his barber blind or is he just stupid! Yes, I know that people make fun of my hair, and stuff. It is not white! It’s silvery! There is a difference! Joey’s hair is similar to Tristan, but not nearly as bad! What exactly is Joey’s accent? Brooklyn New York or Italian? I know I have a badly done English accent, but at least it’s recognizable! What does Tča call that outfit she wears? I call it a catastrophe! And that girl never shuts up. Sometimes I wanna just scream,

“Shut the fuck up Tča!!!!!” but I don’t because then I’d have her precious friends on me! Oh! Speaking of horrible clothes, have you seen Mai Valentine? Can you say, ‘slut’? She only wears a lace up top coz she can’t fit in a normal one! (Yeah, it’s an old joke, but oh well!) Why is Seto Kaiba so obsessed with his brother? I wouldn’t really care if I lost anyone to that gay bastard Pegasus. Have you heard his voice? Why does he call Yugi and Kaiba, “Yugi boy” and “Kaiba boy”? Are they gay lovers and that’s his pet name for them? *Sighs* Oh well. I feel better now that I have bashed all my “friends”. So, why does everyone hate me? I may never know!

Chapter 9

Tozukuoh came back the next night and the night after that, just as he had promised to Khemet. Although she still seemed a little skeptical about the guy, he hadn’t done anything harmful to her since that first night. He was charming she could recall, but hasty and impatient at times. His mood swings weren’t the only problem. His horse hated Khemet. It neighed and kicked when her presence was near, which was really embarrassing if you think about it. Nevertheless, Tozukuoh just laughed and restrained the horse, promising to ‘deal with it later’. Khemet was a little nervous about the remark, but completely erased it from her memory when they took off into the night together.
Unbeknownst to them, a spy was in the midst. Teanu had watched the ‘couple’ sit and talk about random things for the past two nights, and she was astounded. She had never known that such a heartless person could care the way he did. It was like watching a monkey talk for the first time. Yeah, it was a very scary, yet incredible experience. Her horse was swift and helped not to make a single sound in the soft and gentle breeze.
“What are you staring at?” Tozukuoh asked waving his hand in her face. She laughed and yanked it down.
“I’m memorizing you so I never forget,” she replied, still staring rather freakishly and smiling brightly.
“Wow. You look really hot when you smile.”
Now this took her by surprise and she immediately grabbed hold of reality once again and glanced up slowly.
“Um, could you repeat that aga…” Tozukuoh leaned in to a breath-taking kiss and roughly forced his tongue down her throat. Surprisingly she didn’t fight back, but slacked her jaw open to allow him access. When he finally pulled away he raised an eyebrow.
“Whoa, that was shocking. What happened to the ‘we can’t be doing this stuff’ speech?” he questioned. She was silent. She didn’t even know why she hadn’t rejected. Oh yeah, because she loved him.

Wait, she did not just think that. That never happened. She can’t…love him. C’mon, he’s a psychotic tombrobber with no regard towards anything. How could this feeling arise so quickly. The bigger question was why had she gone with him on that first night? She was bored, right? Or was it something else. Something that was leading her destiny urged her to follow and she obeyed. She wondered if this was a sign of weakness or even loneliness.

Tozukuoh was contemplating similar thoughts. That kiss was so sudden and unexpected, even for him. In that one moment he found himself wanting Khemet more than anything. He had never felt these feelings before ever since his parents had died in a deadly fire that perished his whole village. He knew from that day forward that he was on his own. So, he became tougher and more dangerous, spreading his name all throughout Egypt.
‘You’re turning soft, Bakura. Don’t take that fall.’ He thought, shuddering.

Silence was held for a little over a minute when a strange noise was heard by them both. Yelling soon followed as Khemet immediately recognized one voice. They gave each other a confused and quick glance before racing on foot to where it was heard.

Chapter 10

Time seemed to stop moving altogether when the two saw the struggle. A girl was using a small dagger to defend against a tall and powerful priest, who happened to be named Mahado! His long staff was raised above the ground and a large sword soon followed.
“How dare you thief, trespass on the pharaoh’s grounds? Did you really think that you could get away with stealing something?” his sword clashed against the small dagger, but it amazingly held together.
“You know nothing, priest! Stay out of other people’s business!” she yelled back defending rather pathetically.

Khemet held her breath when a final cut was sliced through the air as Mahado’s sword swung at her face. Right then, another sword came into view, blocking the hit of his sword. He took a step back as another female came closer.
“Sesshat.” Khemet heard Tozukuoh whisper.
“Who?”
“An apprentice. Quite the annoying type,” he grunted. Khemet now watching with fear and stress, huddled next to Tozukuoh, who lazily wrapped an arm around her shoulder. They couldn’t intervein, and Khemet knew this. Their relationship would be shattered to bits.

“You will not prevail, young thief, for the power of the gods is on my side,” Mahado yelled, as he majestically fought Sesshat. A swift hit threw her onto the ground and she landed with a thud. He turned to Teanu who was freaking tou at this moment and showed her his gleaming eyes filled with determination.
“Let the mercy of the gods be gentle to your soul,” he said before stabbing into her shoulder and out in one quick motion. When Teanu limply fell to the ground, Sesshat was stuck with a little thing called revenge.
“You……Monster!” she screamed using all her might to easily slice through Mahado’s chest, causing blood to seep everywhere. Still devastated, Sesshat picked up her dead friend, and slowly made her way out of the city.

Khemet was in complete shock. Her whole body was frozen, unable to move. She could barely hear Tozukuoh’s voice shaking and yelling to her. Her eyes closed and darkness consumed her sight and state of mind.

Chapter 11

She was falling. An endless abyss of darkness surrounded her with no way of escaping. She had already accepted her fate before her and given up trying to fight it. It seemed that every moment took away her life force and made her weaker. She was still falling, her thoughts, by now, all disappeared and only the darkness that enclosed her occupied her head as well.
A cold feeling made her close up even more, but as the feeling slowly came towards her, all the darkness vanished around her and instead encircled it. All of it formed into a shape and from there, and crafted its way to being a human body. That body was Tozukuoh’s. When she called out to him he didn’t answer, but turned and floated away.
Practically falling onto the floor, Khemet awoke and her surroundings struck her like a truck. She was no longer in familiar territory. Everything seemed little and strange. Certainly no one she knew had ever had a room this small before. The bed was also kept very nice. She took a small whiff of the pillow and felt more relaxed and at home. A sudden opening of the door surprised her, but when she saw Tozukuoh, everything immediately came back to her. The secret dates, the deadly fight, and the strange dream that she had yet to understand. She felt the dry tears on her face as new ones threatened to fall.
“Hey, none of that. I hate it when people cry,” he said, occupying the spot next to her. The same devilish eyes as ever before met hers as he held her hands, “I hope you know that you’re no longer in Memphis. You are now at my place, where I live, other than seeing you,” he grinned, wrapping an arm around her neck and pulling her close.
“Thank you. I needed to get away from everything. I mean…Mahado is…dead. Oh, this news will not come easy for Mana,” she trailed off. Anger flashed before her, “Who was that girl that you said you knew? I swear she will regret the day the born…”
“Now, now, don’t get too hasty. Although, you’re really hot when you’re angry.”
“Two people have just been brutally slaughtered and you expect me to just take this lightly?”
“Uh, yeah. Believe me, I’ve been through worse. Just deal with it. Besides, we need to talk…” he took a hold of one of her hands but she pulled away and got up.
“I can’t just let it be. Two people were killed a couple hours ago it’s probably all my fault. On the other hand, everyone at palace has found out that I am not there and they’re indefinitely going to go looking for me. I’d better go.” She stomped out the door, but he quickly followed and in one quick motion, pinned her against the wall. She weakly struggled and quickly gave up against his tight grip. He rolled his eyes.
“I want you to stay here…with me.”
His words cut deep. Here he had practically kidnapped her in a sense, yet she couldn’t help but be drawn to him. Those deep eyes, she couldn’t stop from staring at them. At once she found herself embracing Tozukuoh in a deep and passionate kiss. After a while, she felt herself begin lifted up and brought back to his room.

Chapter 12

While taking a quick bath in a convenient nearby water source, nothing else but Khemet filled his mind. The faint tint of her hair, her expressive eyes, her slender neck, her warm, soft body, what could this all mean? Wait, he couldn’t think this silly nonsense. Lust lust lust. It was no use. This strange and new feeling must have affected him in a way he couldn’t resist. He accidentally fell in love.
Meanwhile, Khemet was getting dressed. She had forgotten all about Atem until this morning. She sighed. He was probably sending men or even himself to look. She had been wondering what exactly was outside of the room she had been kept in all night. As she almost reached the end of a long and dark hallway, Tozukuoh grabbed her waist and pulled her back to his body.
“Wah!” she yelled, a little startled.
“Where are you going?” he asked, nuzzling her neck, “You’re not leaving so soon?”
“No, I was just going to uh, check the place out. That’s all.” She smiled, turning around a placing a wet kiss on his cheek. He led her outside and showed her his “place”.
It turned out that Tozukuoh lived underground to avoid contact, and in the middle of the desert I might add.
“Well you certainly have originality. Er, how do you know which way to go?” Khemet asked looking in all directions. They all looked the exact same.
“Ha! Once you’ve lived here for as long as I have, you’d know this desert like the back of your horse.”
“I see…” she replied, obviously getting uninterested. Her sight drifted towards a moving thing on the ground.
“Snake!” she gasped clutching at Tozukuoh’s arm. He laughed and drew his sword.
“Don’t kill it!”
“But I thought you didn’t like it?”
“Yeah, but it still deserves to live. How would you like it if you were just walking along the desert and somebody just came up and killed you?”
“Nonsense. I would know exactly how to defend myself in a situation of that matter.”
“…I don’t think you’re getting the basic point here.”
“And what exactly is the basic point, ya know, since it’s so basic?”
“It is that…” she stopped and glanced up. She thought she heard a noise. No, she knew she heard a noise. It was coming from the west. She slightly tilted her head and gazed wide-eyed when she realized who was coming.
“So what is it?” he asked still waiting, unaware of the situation at hand.
“We have to leave now.”
“Well that’s not very romantic…”
“I’m serious! Bakura, it’s my brother!” She called him his last name as a sign of respect but had solemn eyes that completely changed Tozukuoh’s opinion. When he glanced into the west a well, an army of soldiers lay before them both, leading with a not-so-happy pharaoh.

The Desert Jerboa, like many animals of the Sahara, manages to survive during the hot desert days by napping in an excavated burrow below the scorching surface. Using its small front legs to dig, the Desert Jerboa closes its burrow completely and conserves its energy for days at a time in the relatively constant climate of 76 degrees Fahrenheit. By sealing itself off completely, the Desert Jerboa takes the precaution of avoiding detection by one of its primary predators, the Fennec Fox.

The Desert Jerboa never needs to drink, and is said to be able to recycle the moisture from its own breath. When the Desert Jerboa becomes hungry, it leaves its burrow at night to forage for seeds and other vegetation. Most remarkably, the Desert Jerboa is the only desert rodent that runs on its hind legs, which are four times the size of its front legs and are strong enough to propel it three vertical feet into the air. In addition, the Desert Jerboa uses its large tail as a rudder as it skips along the desert floor. This "rudder" can allow the Desert Jerboa to shift ninety degrees while in mid-air.
